Monday sees a quadruple of Scandivavian soccer matches to follow. Four great matches will take place on Monday, July 1 and you won’t want to miss them.
Finland’s Veikkausliiga, Norway’s Eliteserien and Sweden’s Allsvenskan will all see matches played with teams seeking wins. The three leagues feature plenty of goals and are three of the more exciting summertime soccer leagues to follow. Don’t miss out on our Scandinavian soccer selection for Monday.
SJK vs. Inter Turku
Monday’s match features the sixth- and fifth-placed teams, respectively, in the Veikkausliiga table. SJK are four points behind Inter Turku with a game in hand going into the fixture.
SJK have won just two out of five matches at home this term conceding three goals and scoring a mere three times. Their last home match was a 2-1 loss to Honka. It was the only game this season SJK have played at home with over 2.5 goals scored.
Inter Turku are unbeaten in their last three away matches. Two of those three saw over 2.5 goals scored and all three featured both teams scoring.
Inter Turku have the league’s top scorer Filip Valencic. He has tallied nine of Inter Turku’s 24 goals.
Winner: Inter Turku
Hacken vs. Hammarby
Hacken sit two points above rival Hammarby in the Allsvenskan table. Neither side go into the fixture in great form. Hacken are winless in their last two matches and have scored just once in 180 minutes of soccer.
Hammarby are winless in three straight games and lost last time out to AIK, 2-0.
Hacken are unbeaten in their last five of six games against Hammarby in all competitions. Four of those games ended in Hacken wins. They have outscored Hammarby 13-8 during that six-match span.
Djurgardens vs. Kalmar
Djurgardens have won four straight matches in the league and sit second behind Malmo. They are putting together a great season and will fight for the title as it goes on.
Kalmar are 11th and on the verge of fighting relegation. They are just three points above the relegation zone and could find themselves in the bottom three if they lose on Monday and results elsewhere go against them.
Djurgardens have won three of their last four matches against Kalmar. Only one of those four matches saw both teams score. In addition, only one of their last four games featured over 2.5 goals scored.
This game is destined to be low scoring with Djurgardens finding a way to get the win over Kalmar.
Sarpsborg vs. Stromsgodset
In Norway, Sarpsborg and Stromsgodset will meet on Monday evening. Stromsgodset are at the bottom of the Eliteserien table with nine points from 36. Stromsgodset have lost three straight games and failed to score in each of those game. They conceded over 1.5 goals in two of the three fixtures.
Sarpsborg are just two points higher in the table. They are unbeaten in two straight games, however. Sarpsborg outscored their last two opponents 3-1 to claim four points from six.
Sarpsborg are undefeated in five of their last six games against Stromsgodset. They should win again with under 2.5 goals scored.
